Morgan Good
makes good designs
(and decisions)
Jeremy Ross • VP of Product Strategy
“Morgan knows her stuff and is a master of the UX craft. Her understanding has helped to influence and evolve the design principals we previously operated under; while ushering in a user first way of thinking on projects.”
My Skill Set
Strategic Vision
I see every experience as a puzzle; every interaction as a piece to complete the picture. Depending on the situation, I can figure out the end result, create the pieces, or do both.
System Thinking
Every ecosystem has inflows (coming in) and outflows (going out). If one step changes, it can cause a ripple effect throughout the system. I connect dots across products and departments to ensure everything is covered.
Service Design
I hate wasting time, so setting up effective processes and task flows is my favorite. I break decisions into digestible pieces, both online and off to ensure everyone is more effective and engaged.
Human-Centered Research
Asking the right questions at the right time is the most important part of finding the right problem to solve for. If you don’t understand the problem, your solution won’t stick.
Creative Problem-Solving
I’m all about finding the needle in the haystack. I ensure the solution works for the user and business within the technical, time, and budgetary constraints.
Information Architecture
People use websites and apps to find information or complete a task. If they can’t figure out where to go and what to do, then they won’t use your product to do so.
Camille Kafesjian • Project Manager
“Morgan doesn’t just create beautiful and intuitive user experiences, she thinks critically about the broader business goals and user needs, ensuring that every design decision is backed by data, insight, and purpose.
If you’re looking for a UX designer who not only delivers high-quality design but also thinks like a product strategist, I highly recommend Morgan.”
Designing Since 2011
I was in a master’s program for teaching when I found UX. My focus was on technology in the classroom (learning differences between digital and analog) and I started making websites on the side.
While my initial career goals were to teach during the year and write during the summer, after graduation I decided to focus on making technology easy for everyone.
Chris Woodruff • Sr Project Manager
“Morgan’s attention to detail, ability to hit deadlines and engaging personality make her a delight to have on any project. I have had the pleasure of managing several projects where Morgan served as the user experience lead. Her input and focus on user experience were integral to project success.
On these projects, she skillfully balanced an optimal user experience with the technical and business cost of implementation.”
Companies I’ve Worked With
Manoj Snahotra • VP, IT Service Delivery Manager
“Morgan is a big team player and is always great to work with. She has always ensured that the user needs and limitations are accounted for in the solution/design and has always brought the users view point in our requirements sessions. I also find artifacts produced by Morgan of high quality and accurately represents customers view point.
Overall I’ve always found Morgan as a very approachable team member, open to feedbacks and someone who very well understands the criticality of her role.”
My Process
Discover + Find
Understand the users and stakeholders, their responsibilities, goals, and difficulties to ensure I understand the problem.
Define + Plan
Look at the big picture (systems and processes) to understand paramaters and how to connect to broader and/or long-term goals.
Design + Refine
Create solutions (sometimes not digital), test, and iterate to find which solution is best meets users’ needs and business goals.
Deliver + Monitor
Provide clear and concise deliverables to partners for a smooth transition. Set up touchpoints to ensure success metrics are met.
Vi Tran • Researcher at Meta
“I can confidently say that she is a talented and dedicated manager whose well-rounded skill set added immense value to establishing UX within our organization.
Her exceptional communication skills allowed her to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and developers. Morgan was always willing to go above and beyond to ensure that I was given the resources needed to conduct research of the highest quality, and that my insights were incorporated into product development.”
Contented Design
I own a human-centered, data-informed, problem-solving creative agency doing research (generative and evaluative), experience design (UX/CX/Service), and storytelling (marketing and communications).
